ABOUT US
Low Tide Studio is more than just a gym; it's a community formed by its members. We believe in building strong relationships with our members and creating a supportive environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.
Whether you are an experienced BJJ practitioner or a complete novice, our classes are designed to be accessible, rewarding and challenging for all levels.
As a proud partner of London-based New School BJJ, and led by second degree BJJ black belt instructor Si Tutton, we offer a generous timetable of classes across the week, for both adults and kids.

at low tide ants eat fish'

ABOUT OUR HEAD COACH
Having trained martial arts for over twenty years, Si is a brown belt in judo, former boxing practitioner and a second degree black belt in BJJ.
Si started his BJJ journey in 2009 at a club called BJJ New School in South London. A few years later he moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he continued to train, travel and compete across Asia. After returning to the UK he received his black belt in 2017 from the legendary Brazilian Coral belt, Helio Soneca.
Si's dream of opening his own martial arts and fitness studio became a reality in 2020 after moving to Edinburgh and founding Low Tide BJJ Studio.
With an ethos that focuses on community, inclusivity and creativity, and a commitment to improving the physical and mental health of its members, Low Tide has rapidly become one of the leading martial arts studios in Edinburgh, with a team of passionate and talented staff and instructors.
